Hello, and welcome to
Lone Pine Rabbitry
My name is Michelle Willits, and I am the founder and owner. We are located in Odenton, Maryland.
Here we focus on show quality Mini Rex and Lionheads. My Mini Rex varieties include Black, Blue, Chocolate, Otter and Broken. Occasionally I will have White and Lilac. I have been working with Mini Rex since 2017. Our Lionhead varieties include Black, Tort, and Blue Tort. We just introduced lionheads to our rabbitry summer of 2022. We are members of ARBA, NMRRA and NALRC. I started my roots showing Satins a little over 10 years ago in FFA. It wasn't long after that I fell in love with the sweet personalities and plush coat of the Mini Rex. Since then I have dedicated myself to Mini Rex. My new co-owner, Lana Owens, will be handling our Lionhead additions.
I strive to be a responsible and reputable breeder. To do this we keep our rabbitry small and only breed purposeful litters a few times a year and only if there is enough interest in the litter. Our planned breeding's are carefully selected so that we meet the SOP and each generation is better than the last. Only rabbits that have won legs in shows are candidates for breeding in my program. We try to wait and make sure our bunnies are registered grand champions with ARBA before we start planning litters.
I incorporate ethical practices in my program such as proper housing, exercise areas, high quality food, socialization and medical care. I believe in quality over quantity. We want to provide families with healthy, happy pets in addition to show prospects. I focus heavily on sweet temperament and healthy rabbits. We want them to be wonderful house pets in addition to a spectacular standards of the breed.
Our bunnies are family first. We ensure every bunny is handled daily, given plenty of room to get daily exercise and given family time to curl up on the couch with us. Our bunnies are all vetted regularly. They are all on annual worming, flea and tick prevention and kept up on vaccinations to protect against myxomatosis, RVHD1 and RVHD2.
If you are interested in purchasing a rabbit as either a pet or as a show rabbit, contact us today. All show/brood potential rabbits will come with pedigrees, medical paperwork, contract, tattooed and/or microchipped. Pets will be altered prior to adoption. All bunnies will have started litter training. If for what ever reason you can no longer keep your bunny, we will always take it back.
